Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We are pleased to invite you to the Library’s 2025 Annual Meeting on Sunday, October 19th at 3 pm at the Worthington Historical Society. We will discuss the exciting changes to come as we join the CW MARS System (Central and Western MA Automated Resource Sharing). With this online network of more than 100 libraries, our patrons will be able to search and borrow from a much larger catalog of books, audiobooks, DVDs, and more, and have them delivered to the Worthington Library. We will also talk about the library’s news and activities.
Worthington Library continues to be a place where people of all ages gather to learn, explore, and connect. This year we offered a lively summer reading program with the support of the Worthington Cultural Council, and a weekly Dungeons & Dragons game, a Maker Space, Museum passes, and a growing Library of Things including board games, a loom, a bulb planter, and a wildlife camera.
The Friends of the Library presented craft workshops, the Book & Bake Sale, and the Town-Wide Tag Sale. There is public computer access and wi-fi, Local History resources, and scheduled activities such as spinning, genealogy, book club, and a play group for infants and toddlers. The Book Nook program delivers books and media directly to seniors at The Maples.
